There is no battery inside the XTREM Case - none at all. To change the picture, the case draws a tiny bit of power through NFC, the same wireless technology behind Apple Pay, using even less power than a single tap-to-pay.

Once the picture is set, it stays on the screen permanently - whether the case is on your phone or off it. Photos have a soft, printed look, more like a photograph than a phone screen. Faces, pets, logos, and simple graphics all look great.
